What is K-POP?
K-pop is a musical genre based in South Korea . K-pop means “ Korean Pop ” . Seo Taiji and Boys In 1940 Korean musicians started promoting their cultural music. But in 1992 a new modern form of the genre was formed by the most popular band of the time called, Seo Taiji and Boys , which bought with them different styles and genres of music. As a result, they played a big role in representing South Korean culture and modernizing South Korea's music. K-pop industry started flourishing when different entertainment companies came into being and they started forming different boy and girl groups. These groups need to sign a contract with their company, train under their companies, and debut under these companies. There are four big entertainment companies in K-pop industry like; SM Entertainment , YG Entertainment , JYP Entertainment, and Big Hit Entertainment .
